Women have banded together in online communities to support each other's blogs, writing and business.

Women understand the importance of coming together as a community to accomplish a goal. Women worldwide who have set out alone and in groups to create blogs, publish articles and share ideas have formed vibrant communities to support and encourage each other.

These communities vary in style and size. Some let a few guys in the group, others focus on a specific age group. They also vary in purpose. Some are content driven and include both bloggers and non bloggers alike. Others focus on blog tips and promoting content published on member blogs. All of them share the goal of supporting women in web publishing.

BlogHer

BlogHer is the largest women's blogging community. Women can publish content, swap advice, ask questions, form groups, meet by location or other common ground, and share their ups and downs. BlogHer also hosts conferences for females in blogging. Content on blogging touches on every area of life and is published by real women.

DivineCaroline

DivineCaroline isn't specific to bloggers, but it allows women the platform to publish content to a broad community of other women writers. Those involved in the community are given tools to promote their DivineCaroline content as well as their personal blogs.

She Writes

She Writes is also a community of women writers. Women can publish content and learn from experienced female writers and other industry experts. She Writes offers classes, webinars, groups, private writing group space and local meetups. There are also a slew of services offered such as social media consulting and ghost writing.

MidLifeBloggers.com

This blogging community focuses on “all of us who consider ourselves to be in the middle of our lives.” The actual ages of the bloggers varies, but they all share information of MidLife and other issues. In addition to the MidLife content, this site offers writer's workshops, a blogroll, and opportunities to write for the site.

The Secret Is In The Sauce

This collection of “SITS Girls” have formed what they call a “SITStahood” to encourage and support over 6,000 women bloggers. Their main form of support involves leaving comments for each other and staying active on the site daily. SITS also offers a Bloggy Bootcamp conference in a variety of locations. The SITS blog offers blogging advice as well as a wealth of women-related topics.

Independent Fashion Bloggers

While not limited to women, this female-dominated blogging network exists to help independent fashion bloggers build better blogs, promote their content, organize fashion week events and connect with public relations and fashion companies.

Whether learning to improve their writing, promoting their blogs or leaving each other comments, the women of these communities value their sister woman and want to see each other succeed together. They realized the value of community and seek to make the world of women on the world wide web a wonderful world to work in.
